Compiler's Preface

پیش لفظ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger.

This is the second part of Fuyooz-e-Sohbat (Blessings of the Company of the Shaykh). Just as the first part contained the earlier discourses and spiritual teachings of Hazrat Bahr-ul-Uloom — may his secret be sanctified — so too does this second volume contain the precious utterances and scholarly discourses from the final five years of his blessed life, recorded faithfully in his own noble words.

The compiler is Ghulam Faqir Abdul Qadir Khairuddin Qadiri Siddiqui, a devoted student and khalifa (spiritual successor) of Hazrat Bahr-ul-Uloom. The discourses span from December 1956 to November 1958 CE, covering a vast range of topics: Quranic exegesis, hadith sciences, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), theology (kalām), philosophy, Ṣūfism (taṣawwuf), and the practical affairs of daily religious and social life.

The first part of Fuyooz-e-Sohbat has already been published by Al-Qadir Publications. This second part is presented here so that those who were unable to sit in the blessed company of Hazrat may benefit from his illuminating words — as if seated before him in that sacred gathering. May Allah accept this humble effort and make it a source of benefit for all who read it.

— Ghulam Faqir Abdul Qadir Khairuddin Qadiri Siddiqui (Abu al-Mujahid Syed Ahmad Khairuddin)
