For the translation of this important treatise on spiritual wayfaring into Urdu, I owe a debt of gratitude to Maulawi Hafiz 'Abd Allah al-Murshid, who provided me with a manuscript copy in the year 1278 AH, and to Maulawi Hafiz Khwaja Safi, who assisted with its collation and verification.
