The Ground of Being, Attainment, and Manifestation
مابہ الموجودیت — کون یا حصول — ظہور
The Ground of Being (mā bihi al-mawjūdiyya) is that reality by virtue of which a thing is said to exist. Existence in this sense is unique and belongs absolutely and self-sufficiently to Allah Most High alone. All other things possess only a derived, dependent, or contingent mode of being.
Coming-into-existence (kawn or husūl) refers to the actualization of a possible thing — its transition from potentiality to actuality. This is not a property of the Necessary Being (Wājib al-Wujūd), Who has no potentiality and needs no transition. Every contingent being (mumkin) has its kawn as a gift bestowed by the Necessary Being.
Manifestation (zuhūr) refers to the outward disclosure or appearance of a reality in some perceptible or cognitive form. The Divine Reality manifests through Its names, attributes, and acts — but these manifestations are not identical to the Divine Essence itself, nor are they entirely separate from It.
