Other Divine Names and Attributes
دوسری الٰہی اسماء و صفات
After the Names and Attributes (asmā' wa sifāt), when attention is turned toward the direction of the Owner (mālik) of those Attributes and toward those Attributes of the Divine — the Divine Attributes are manifested and the original Attributes of the Divine and the created attributes become apparent — and from everyone is a manifestation of the truth.
وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
"And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (al-Baqara 2:137)
الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
"The Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence." (al-Baqara 2:255)
وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
"And you do not will except that Allah wills — Lord of the worlds." (Sūrat al-Takwīr, 81:29)
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
"All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds." (Sūrat al-Fātiḥa, 1:2)
After the level of the annihilation of the Essence (fanā' dhāt) comes the level of the Dhāt itself — the true Being is witnessed; the existence of the truth and the Dhāt haqq are manifested — after one 'nothing,' another 'nothing.' Death comes unexpectedly — in the ordinary world of knowledge one remains — and the world of Barzakh opens. A person who was counted among the Abrār and Akhyār and Asfiyā' — in the world of the awliyā' he now dwells inwardly. He returns to himself — he used to think of God as the muẓhir (manifestor/mirror) — now his God's manifestation becomes apparent — he becomes entirely brilliant — the sun of Qamar becomes radiant upon him.
