The Pure Heart — Continued (قلب سلیم — جاری)
Continuing the discourse on the qalb salim: the human being has two states. In one state the heart is occupied with the world and the self; in the other it is occupied with Allah. The transition from the first state to the second is the entire journey of the spiritual path. The murshid's role is to help the disciple make this transition — not by coercion, but by the power of his own presence and the light of his own qalb.
Spiritual Influences After Death — Continued (روحانی تصرفات — جاری)
A human being has two conditions. The first condition is the state of ordinary worldly life, with its preoccupations and limitations. The second condition — reached through spiritual development or after physical death — is one of expanded awareness. In this second condition the soul is not limited by the same constraints of time and space. The awliya (friends of Allah) continue to guide and assist their followers from both sides of the veil of death.
