Evil Innovation

does a good act and call it an innovation. Some people ask why Fatiha is offered on food. Eating and feeding is physical worship. Along with it, Fatiha reading includes spiritual worship. Reflect a little! When was the Noble Qur'an compiled in the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. It was compiled in the time of Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA). The Mujtahid scholars deduce rulings from hadith. Previously they did not understand, but then they understood the rulings, so are these innovations? Are you an innovation from head to toe, your whole life is an innovation. To consider a good thing as bad and knowingly consider it an innovation is legislation in religion. With the heart, apply the ruling. لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ .

قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی : مِنْ اَجْلِ ذٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلٰی بَنِیْٓ اِسْرَآئِیْلَ اَنَّهٗ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَیْرِ نَفْسٍ اَوْ فَسَادٍ فِی الْاَرْضِ فَكَاَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِیْعًا ۔ (سوره مائدة - آیت ۳۲)

Vocabulary: كَتَبْنَا ; we made obligatory, wrote down. فَكَاَنَّمَا ; as if. جَمِیْعًا ; all of them, everyone. Translation: Allah Almighty says: Because of this We prescribed for the Children of Israel (informed them) that whoever kills a soul without retaliation for a soul, or for corruption in the earth, it is as if he had killed mankind entirely. Since the first murder was committed, seeing him the common people adopted this bad practice in emulation. That is why the first murderer will be deserving of the punishment of all subsequent murderers. (Since this is a definitive Quranic text, therefore its interpretation is incorrect).

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيْ أَمْرِنَا هٰذَا مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ رَدٌّ ۔ (متفق عليه - مشکوٰۃ)

Vocabulary: أَحْدَثَ ; invented a new thing, created new things. رَدٌّ ; rejected. Translation: Hazrat Lady Aisha (RA) narrates that the Messenger of God ﷺ said regarding our affair (our religion), whoever invents a new thing which is not from it (has no basis), then it is rejected. (Imam Bukhari and Hazrat Imam Muslim both agree on this hadith and it is also in Mishkat)

عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الْحَدِيْثِ

كِتَابُ اللهِ وَخَيْرَ الْهُدٰى هُدٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَشَرَّ الْأُمُوْرِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا وَكُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ ۔ (رواہ مسلم - مشکوٰۃ)

Translation: Hazrat Jabir (RA) narrates that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Amma ba'd (after praise and glorification), it is known that the best speech is the Book of Allah (Qur'an) and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst of matters are its newly invented things, and every new thing is misguidance (meaning that which has no basis in the Qur'an and hadith and is contrary to the principles of religion). (Narrated by Muslim, and also in Mishkat)

عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ دَعَا إِلٰى هُدًى كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلُ أُجُوْرِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ أُجُوْرِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَنْ دَعَا إِلٰى ضَلَالَةٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ مِثْلُ اٰثَامِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اٰثَامِهِمْ شَيْئًا ۔ (رواہ مسلم - مشکوٰۃ)

Vocabulary: هُدًى ; guidance. إِثْمٌ ; sin. Its plural is اٰثَامٌ . أُجُوْرٌ plural of أَجْرٌ ; reward. لَا يَنْقُصُ ; does not decrease, does not make deficient. Translation: Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever calls towards guidance, teaches it, for him is a reward equal to the rewards of all those who follow him, and there will be no decrease in the rewards of those people (due to his getting the reward); and whoever calls towards misguidance, upon him will be a sin equal to the sins of those who follow him, without there being any decrease in their sins (due to his getting the punishment). (Narrated by Muslim, and also in Mishkat)

عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَحْدَثَ قَوْمٌ بِدْعَةً إِلَّا رُفِعَ اللهُ مِثْلَهَا مِنَ السُّنَّةِ فَتَمَسُّكٌ بِسُنَّةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ إِحْدَاثِ بِدْعَةٍ ۔ (رواہ احمد)

Translation: Ghudaif bin Harith Thumali narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whenever a people invent an innovation, Allah removes a Sunnah similar to it. Therefore, holding fast to a Sunnah is better than inventing a new matter. (Narrated by Hazrat Ahmad)

عَنْ حَسَّانٍ قَالَ مَا ابْتَدَعَ قَوْمٌ بِدْعَةً فِيْ دِيْنِهِمْ إِلَّا نَزَعَ اللهُ مِنْ سُنَّتِهِمْ مِثْلَهَا ثُمَّ لَا يُعِيْدُهَا إِلَيْهِمْ إِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۔ (رواہ الدارمی)
