Publisher's Note (عرض ناشر)

The book before you is the text and translation of Kitab al-Ilm, a portion of the compilation "Ad-Deen" authored in the Arabic language by Bahrul Uloom Hazrat Allamah Muhammad Abdul Qadeer Siddiqui Hasrat (RH), former Professor of Hadith and Head of the Department of Theology at Osmania University, Hyderabad Deccan, which was included in the curriculum of Osmania University. Just as iman (faith), Islam, and ihsan (spiritual excellence) are mentioned and explained in the Hadith of Jibreel (AS), Bahrul Uloom (RH) authored this book on that very basis, in which first Kitab al-Ilm (The Book of Knowledge), and then iman, Islam, and ihsan are presented through the Qur'an and ahadith, proving that the Hanafi madhhab (school of thought) is entirely based on the Qur'an and Sunnah (prophetic tradition). The importance of Kitab al-Ilm and matters related to it have been presented in the light of the Qur'an and Hadith. The book Ad-Deen, along with translation and explanations, used to be published continuously in the monthly magazine "Al-Qadeer" during the lifetime of Bahrul Uloom. Mr. Abu Al-Mujahid Syed Ahmad Khairuddin Qadri collected all of this material and provided it to us, for which the institution of Hasrat Academy is thankful to him. May Allah grant him a good reward. Ameen. We pray to Allah the Almighty that this book of Bahrul Uloom (RH) achieves acceptance among the elite and the general public, and that the ranks of Bahrul Uloom be elevated with Allah. Ameen, then Ameen, by the honor of the Master of the Messengers (ﷺ).
