Chapter 12

Jarradu al-Qur'an

Separate the Qur'an from Other than It

saying, "I do not believe in the saying and action of the Messenger." O unjust one, when you do not believe in the saying and action of the Messenger, then you do not believe in the accepted Messenger ﷺ. What do you have to do with Islam? You are not fleeing from hadith, you are fleeing from Iman, from Islam. What right do you have to call yourself a Muslim? The reality is that these people only superficially believe in the Quran in name. In reality, they do not even believe in the Quranic verse (Take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you).

By intentionally rejecting the ahadith of the Messenger, they make a false claim of believing in the Quran. Why is this done? To interpret the Quran according to their own arbitrary meanings. They should know that the explanation of the Quran is hadith, and acting upon the Quran comes through hadith. I wrote somewhere without analogy that the Quran is like the "Indian Penal Code" and hadith is like the "Criminal Procedure Code". Until there is familiarity with the Criminal Procedure Code, acting upon the Penal Code is not possible. In the same way, until one has knowledge of Hadith Sharif, acting upon the Quran is not possible. Better than you are those who speak plainly, who say that "the Islam of thirteen hundred years" is subject to revision, and "prophets are being born in every corner." What do these people have to do with Islam? A certain gentleman (Siddique Dindar) wrote to me that you are the descendant of Siddiq-e-Akbar, if you bring your hand on mine in faith you will get the rank of Siddiq-e-Akbar. What is Islam today? It is a wrestling ring for a few ignoramuses.

(Separate the Quran from what is non-Quran)

Translation: Hazrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA) narrates that the Noble Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not write anything from me except the Quran, and whoever has written anything other than the Quran, he should erase it" (Meaning do not write non-Quran within the Quran. For instance, even the word "Ameen" is not written at the end of Surah Fatiha in the noble Quran, although it is recited).

Translation: Hazrat Muttalib bin Abdullah bin Hantab narrates that Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (RA) came to Hazrat Muawiyah (RA), and Hazrat Muawiyah (RA) asked him about a hadith and he narrated it. Hazrat Muawiyah (RA)
