A Few Lines About Bahrul Uloom

Shams al-Mufassireen, Shaikh al-Muhadditheen, Ustad al-Ulama, Bahrul Uloom Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Qadeer Siddiqui Hasrat (RH) of Hyderabad Deccan was such a scholarly personality, who is rightfully remembered with the titles of Bahrul Uloom and Ustad al-Ulama. Your birth took place on Friday, 17th Rajab 1288 AH (13th October 1871 CE) in Hyderabad Deccan in a famous scholarly family. You obtained the degrees of Moulvi Fazil and Munshi Fazil with distinction and gold medals from Punjab University. Initially, you were appointed at Darul Uloom, a renowned educational institution of Hyderabad Deccan in those days. When Osmania University was established and put into operation, you were appointed as a professor and Head of the Theology Department by the Royal decree. You remained in service for exactly ten years and there were continuous extensions. You wrote a complete Tafseer of the Glorious Quran named "Tafseer-e-Siddiqui" which has been published in India and Pakistan. In 1941, from the side of Hyderabad Academy, your research article "Mas'ala Adam Naskh Quran" was published, in which you established that no verse of the noble Quran has been abrogated. Your authored work "Ad-Deen" in Arabic was included in the theology syllabus of Osmania University. In this, you proved that the foundation of the Hanafi Madhhab is on the Quran and Hadith and not on Qiyas as people imagine. You also translated the masterpiece of Shaykh Akbar Mohiuddin Ibn Arabi's "Fusus al-Hikam" into Urdu by the decree of Osmania University's Darul Tarjuma, which was published and gained considerable fame. In Tasawwuf, there are several of your works which include Hikam-e-Islamia, Al-Ma'arif, Al-Irfan, At-Tawhid (in Persian) and Makateeb-e-Irfan. You used the pen name 'Hasrat' and composed poetry in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and Hindi. Your collection of poetry has been published under the name "Kulliyat-e-Hasrat". You passed away from this transient world on 17th Shawwal 1381 AH (24th March 1962 CE) on Saturday at the time of Asr.
