Allah's Encompassing His Creatures in Essence and Knowledge
[Header] Kitab al-Iman
then guided it, showed the straight path. He sent prophets to take [people] out of misguidance and lead them onto the correct path.
وَقَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: الَّذِى أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ ۔ (آیت ۷۔ السجدۃ) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "Who perfected everything which He created." (Verse 7 - As-Sajdah)*
Vocabulary: أَحْسَنَ (Ahsana): made better, made good.
Translation: And this is also the statement of Allah Ta'ala: "Allah Ta'ala is indeed the One who created everything in the best manner."
O friends! Allah Ta'ala made woman a woman and made her body's structure and shapeliness according to her nature. He granted man a masculine body. The delicacy of a rich man's body is specific to him. He made the poor man capable of combating hardships. He made the inhabitant of a cold country able to bear the cold and made the dweller of a hot region capable of combating the heat. [Poem] The Wise One gives to everyone according to their disposition. What becomes prominent is according to one's own Fitrah (Hasrat Siddiqui).
فِيْ إِحَاطَتِهِ تَعَالَى بِمَخْلُوقَاتِهِ ذَاتًا وَّ عِلْمًا وَّرَحْمَةً
Chapter: Allah Ta'ala has encompassed the creations. His Essence encompasses everything, and His Knowledge encompasses and dominates everything, and His Mercy also embraces everyone within itself.
Some ignorant people say that the Divine Essence does not encompass the essences of the creations, although His knowledge encompasses everything. He is sitting on the Throne watching all creations. This is their own personal thought. But our Aqeedah is precisely that nothing is outside the Divine Essence. Neither is it outside His Knowledge, nor outside His Mercy. If the essence of God and the essence of creations are separate, then this is also a type of Shirk. A servant cannot remain separate from God even for a moment.
Remember this! If the light of the sun does not fall on the moon, it will appear pitch black. If someone does not understand this and starts claiming that the moon does not take light from the sun, but rather the moon's light is separate and the sun's light is separate; the moon's light is cool and soothing to the eyes, while the sun's light is extremely hot, hotter than fire and bright, etc. If one presents arguments of this sort, will any sensible person pay heed to this "crab-like argument" (*Hujjat-ul-Qahqari*)? Absolutely not. Rather, such crooked argumentation will be interpreted as the babbling of a madman. Therefore, in the same way, it should be known that the existence of all creations is due to the existence of Allah Ta'ala alone, and this is what the Sufis call "Hama Uast" (All is He). The poor author [referring to himself] has explained this issue to some extent in a separate essay, "Makatib-e-Irfan". And the different beliefs of Marifa held by the respected scholars have been explained in detail in it.
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: أَلَا إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّحِيطٌ ۔ (آیت ۵۴۔ فصلت۔ حم السجدۃ) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "Unquestionably, He is encompassing of all things." (Verse 54 - Fussilat / Ha Mim As-Sajdah)*

Vocabulary: أَلَا (Ala): Beware, be alert, listen carefully! بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ (Bikulli Shay'in): Over everything, over all things. مُّحِيطٌ (Muheetun): Encompassing, taken into grasp, taken within a circle.
Translation: Allah Ta'ala says: "Beware! Remember! (Allah Ta'ala) has encompassed (grasped) everything.
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَاللَّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَفِرِيْنَ ۔ (آیت ۱۹۔ البقرۃ) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "And Allah encompasses the disbelievers." (Verse 19 - Al-Baqarah)*
Translation: And Allah Ta'ala says: "And Allah encompasses the disbelievers." (Even the disbelievers are not outside the encompassment and the grip of Allah's power. Their windpipe is also in His hand. Whenever He wishes, He squeezes it and they cannot even take a breath).
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا ۔ (آیت ۱۰۸۔ النساء) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing." (Verse 108 - An-Nisa)*
Translation: And this is also the statement of Allah Ta'ala that: "Allah Ta'ala has encompassed all the actions of the people, whatever they do."
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ رَبِّيْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطٌ ۔ (آیت ۹۲۔ ھود) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "Indeed, my Lord is encompassing of what you do." (Verse 92 - Hud)*
Translation: And Allah Ta'ala, through the tongue of the Prophet Hazrat Shu'aib (AS) in response to the questions of his people, makes him say: O Shu'aib! Tell them like this: "Without any doubt and suspicion, my Lord has taken into His encompassment (all your actions) whatever you are doing."
Here it is "Inna Rabbi" (Indeed, my Lord). The Nourisher, the One who brings everyone to their perfection, can be none other than God.
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَاِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا ۔ (آیت ۱۲۔ طلاق) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "And that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge." (Verse 12 - At-Talaq)*
Translation: And this is also the statement of Allah Ta'ala that: "And Allah Ta'ala knows everything, possesses its correct knowledge, and has encompassed it."
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَّ عِلْمًا ۔ (آیت ۷۔ مومن) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge." (Verse 7 - Mumin / Ghafir)*
(And Allah Ta'ala, through the tongue of those angels who are the bearers of the Throne and around it are engaged in the divine glorification and praise, commands them to pray for the believers in this manner: O angels! You say:)
Translation: "O our Lord! Your mercy and knowledge have encompassed all things. O Lord, You have encompassed everything with regard to Your grace and knowledge, there is room for all creations in Your mercy and Your knowledge."
O friends! From these Quranic verses it is clearly evident that all things, whether they are earthly or heavenly or the creation of some other star, and the stars themselves, the moon, the sun, the sky, the earth, every biggest of the big and smallest of the small thing, whether it is an insignificant atom or the Himalaya mountain,

Jinn and mankind, angels and devils, creations or evil spirits, disbelievers or Muslims, all these are in the hand of power. Nothing can escape outside the divine circle. But His encompassment, the cycle of this circle is such that the greatest philosophers are spinning in trying to understand it. The greatest atheists and materialists make great efforts to escape from this natural encompassment. But "the lizard's run is only up to the fence." Going there, one gets trapped in such a way that no matter how much one tosses and turns and bangs one's head, where is the way out now? [Poem] Now in distress they say that they will die, If even after dying no peace is found, where will they go? (Hasrat Siddiqui)
In that field of Hashr, when they are caught and dragged along, and the caller will say: *Yawma'idhin aynal mafar* (On that day, where is the escape?), oh, where can you run away today? In the two days of life, you did a lot of jumping and leaping in the world. Like a cat closing its eyes, you considered the whole world blind. Oh, what did you even understand? [Poem] The buds of intellect have wings in this place, But Zafar's wings burn in this place.
Here, even opening one's mouth to claim knowledge is foolishness, stupidity, and ignorance. Quatrain: Allah Ta'ala is Omnipotent over everything, And His Essence is All-Hearing and All-Seeing. O ignorant one, how can these true attributes be in fragments? If you did not even understand this much, then this is your Taqdeer. (Hasrat Siddiqui)
*فِيْ اِنَّہٗ تَعَالٰی خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَیْئٍ :۔* (This chapter is in relation to the issue that Allah Ta'ala alone is the Creator of everything)
Who can deny this fact that Allah Ta'ala alone is the Creator of everything? He alone created everyone, and He is the true Creator of your actions and your thoughts as well. Quatrain: When does matter have this rest and motion? When is this passion of love prominent in it? A leaf does not move without the command of God, This alone is Iman and this alone is wisdom. (Hasrat Siddiqui)
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّ هُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ ۔ (آیت ۱۶۔ رعد) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "Say, 'Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing.'" (Verse 16 - Ar-Ra'd)*
Translation: Allah Ta'ala, to His Prophet, the Mercy to the two worlds ﷺ, when the disbelievers of Arabia were presenting their absurd statements regarding Allah Ta'ala being the Creator, commands him to answer them in this way: "(O Prophet!) You tell these polytheists and disbelievers that Allah Ta'ala alone is the Creator of everything, He alone is the Supreme over all powers, the Dominant, and the Subduer."
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقْدِيرًا ۔ (آیت ۲۔ الفرقان) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "He created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination." (Verse 2 - Al-Furqan)*
Translation: And Allah Ta'ala says: "He created everything and ordained for it a precise measure." He created every existing thing among the possibilities, and then fixed a separate measure for each of them. What audacity does any thing have to become even a hair's breadth more or less than this measure, impossible. If this were to happen, then the system of the universe

would turn into chaos, and this cannot be a wise act. Allah Ta'ala is the Creator as well as Forbearing and Wise. He possesses the correct knowledge of everything, and He alone is aware of the wisdom of everything. Man of weak foundation cannot even breathe a word about the reality of His power. Quatrain: Allah has created everyone with understanding, God Himself knows the reality of each one. O Hasrat, Allah is the Absolute Wise, He bestowed upon everyone according to their worth. (Hasrat Siddiqui)
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَاتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهِ اٰلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَّهُمْ يُخْلَقُوْنَ ۔ (آیت ۳۔ الفرقان) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created." (Verse 3 - Al-Furqan)*
Translation: And Allah Ta'ala says: "And those polytheists, the irreligious people (despite Allah Ta'ala being One) left Him and considered others as deities. These imaginary deities cannot create anything; they themselves are created." Their Maker is that same Absolute Creator, the One and Unique. Let alone the people of the entire world getting together to create a fly or a mosquito, they cannot even make one of its wings.
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ۔ (آیت ۱۰۱۔ الانعام) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "And He created all things, and He is, of all things, Knowing." (Verse 101 - Al-An'am)*
Translation: And the statement of Allah Ta'ala is that: "And He alone created everything, and He alone has the correct knowledge of everything." He alone knows well; Allah Ta'ala alone is aware of the reality (i.e. true nature) of everything.
قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوْهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّكِيْلٌ ۔ (آیت ۱۰۲۔ الانعام) *And Allah Ta'ala says: "There is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things." (Verse 102 - Al-An'am)*
Translation: And the statement of Allah Ta'ala is also thus: "There is no true deity except Him, that is, Allah. He alone is the Creator (Maker) of all. Therefore, all of you worship (serve) Him alone, and He alone is the Disposer of affairs (the Maker of affairs, the Guardian) for everyone."
The Maker of everyone's affairs is He alone. [Poem] *Karsaz-e-ma ba fikr-e-kar-e-ma : fikr-e-ma dar kar-e-ma azaar-e-ma*. (The Maker of our affairs is Himself worrying about our affairs. Now, for us to worry about our own affairs is an unnecessary burden and trouble for us). Our Lord who created us has fixed a definite program for us and is overseeing it. He worries about the entire creation, and out of His grace, He has accepted this responsibility. But here we are, out of our absurd imagination, making huge plans for ourselves, and facing the plight of Sheikh Chilli. What else can be its outcome other than ruin and disgrace? Because: [Poem] Only that happens which is approved by God.
