Bab fi Kalamihi Ta'ala
Allah's Kalam (Speech)
would read the "Quran" (meaning the book revealed to Dawud (AS), the Zabur) before the saddles were placed on the horses. (Meaning he would spend his life on the wages of making coats of mail from iron with his own hands). (This hadith is in Tajreed al-Bukhari) Hazrat Dawud (AS) would recite the entire Kalam of Allah before the horses were saddled. From this, the deduction is that for the one who happens to be the beloved of the Lord, speaking for hours becomes easy in a moment. Everything was opened up and kept before the Master. Gentlemen! Earning halal (lawful) livelihood and eating by the sweat of one's brow is the practice of Prophets (AS) and pious people of the religion. It is "Akl Halal" (eating lawful) and "Sidq Maqal" (speaking truth) by virtue of which great ranks are granted. Hazrat Sirri Saqati (RH) was the maternal uncle and Pir of Hazrat Syed al-Taifa Junaid Baghdadi and the Khalifa of Hazrat Ma'ruf Karkhi. Initially, he used to sell old goods. Thus the name of Hazrat Sirri Saqati became famous. "Saqat" means "old junk" things. Similarly, Hazrat Fariduddin Attar used to sell perfume.
