Bab fi Wujoob Muhabbatihi
The Obligation of Loving Him ﷺ
There are also such people who say, "What need does giving intercession mean? Is it a requirement of God's mercy that one needs the influence and prestige of a Prophet? Look at these oppressors! Look at the Noble Quran! See it over and over again!!! Is it possible that the grace of God may be manifested from the words of the Quran, and You may appear in the Quran! "وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا - (Ahzab - Verse 69)" "With Allah, Musa is a possessor of dignity and prestige." Tell me, the person who has prestige with Allah, what is his honor? Doesn't God understand the prestige of the Prophets, or doesn't He have prestige? Friends! By burning away your honor, you will not gain the good of anyone else. Even if you don't grasp them, do not ruin your own handful of dust. It is one place. O *(Surah Al Imran - Verse 45)* "(Remember that event) when the angels said: O Maryam! Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him, whose name is Isa bin Maryam. He will be a possessor of dignity and prestige in this world and the Hereafter, and will be among those brought near to God." Some ignorant people have the idea that Prophets have no prestige before God. God Ta'ala has refuted their view in this verse that He possesses prestige in this world and the Hereafter, and is also among those brought near.
Chapter: On the obligation of loving the Messenger of Allah ﷺ* Chapter: It is obligatory that the Messenger of God ﷺ is loved.
Friends! Abandoning an obligation is a sin, and loving is explicitly proven from the Noble Quran. Tell the people! O people! If your fathers, and sons, and brothers, and wives, and your tribe, family, and the wealth and property you have earned, and the business whose slump in the market you fear, and those dwellings (all things) which you like, (if all these) are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in the path of God, then wait until Allah Ta'ala issues His command (meaning whatever punishment descends for not prioritizing the love of Allah and His Messenger), and Allah (does not guide the transgressing people ---
meaning open sinners) to the right path.
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَالِدِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ - *(Agreed Upon - Mishkat)* Translation: Hazrat Anas bin Malik (RA) narrates that the Noble Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you can be a believer until I am more beloved to him than his father, grandfather, children, and all people." (This Hadith is recorded by both Imam Muslim and Imam Bukhari, and is also found in Mishkat)
Except for both of them, apart from both of them. Allah saved him, delivered him. To be thrown. Translation: And this Hadith is also narrated by him (meaning Hazrat Anas bin Malik). The Noble Prophet ﷺ said, "These three things, whoever possesses them will find the sweetness of Iman: (1) Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than everything else. (2) And the servant's loving someone only for the sake of Allah. (3) And after Allah Ta'ala has saved him from disbelief, to hate returning to disbelief (going back) as much as he hates being thrown into the fire." (This Hadith is narrated by Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim from both, and is in Tajreed Al-Bukhari)
Friends! Alhamdulillah, we have the sweetness of Iman, meaning we have love for Allah and His Messenger, and for the beloveds of Allah and the wealth of the Messenger. Alas! Today we repeat with every tongue, and with heartfelt love, the claim of loving the Messenger ﷺ, but when an occasion comes, we step back. A verbal claim is of no use. If thousands of necessities come in this path, one should be ready. As a result, alongside this claim of love, if there was following the saints step by step in actions, the names of the elders would not have been disgraced in the world. We have suffered disgrace and humiliation by our own hands. Would that Muslims correct themselves and examine their hearts and consciences at these signs.
